8 SHOE SHOPPING TIPS EVERYONE SHOULD KNOW
Everything and everyone is time bound! Which offcourse require Rules and Principles. So, contain yourself ladies because have got all the secrets and insider tips you need to know to finally get that perfect shoe for that perfect price!
1. Beware of Your Budget.
Already own three pair of white heels?
remember: just because a white heel is on scale doesn't mean you need it. "Don't impulse buy"
Instead keep a list of the shoes that you are actually looking for on hand and stick to it.
2. Shop at the end of the day.
Believe it or not, your hands and feet swells through out the day. So purchasing a pair of shoes in the morning could cause you a pain later on, explained Rebecca Raleigh, an LA fashion stylist, educator and costume designer. To get a true size shop at the end of the day.
3.Try on three sizes before you buy.
Try on the shoe size you typically wear then try on a half size smaller and a half size larger. Many people are stuck on the numbers "but different band-and even different shoes between a brand-vary. your feet will tell you what size to buy" Better safe than sorry!
4. Buy a half size bigger shoe
At times we don't try on shoes that we buy, but if you are unsure, always go with the half size bigger. You can doctor it up by placing an insole in the shoe, which will prevent foot spillage.
(This only apply to cover shoes)
5. If you can't walk in it, don't buy it.
It looks fabulous, but realistically, you can't wear it. Save your money and purchase something practical instead.
6. Befriend the sales associate.
For best deals, become bestie with the sales associate! I believe you know what I mean...... "They'll help you find exactly what you are looking for in accordance with your budget price, sometimes they will give you an extra little discount if you really hit it off" "yes, it also important for sales associate to build a relationship with you so you'll become a repeat customer" it vise versa, enjoy shopping!
7. Consider wedges.
High heel can cause or make worse situations such as blisters, bunions, bone spurs, sprains, e.t.c. I will advise you go for a heel height of 2 inches or less, but if you seeking for a higher boost, a wedge can be a great option! if the shoe has a platform, the front height will basically make it so, you are wearing a shorter heel.
"plus wedges have a larger surface area to distribute your body weight across, giving that much more support "
8. Forget trends.
if the shoe doesn't work for your body, put it back and keep on shopping! For instance, an ankle bootie or shoe with an ankle strap can cut off your leg, making it to appear shorter. "that's not a good look for someone who has short legs, even though it may be the trend."
